Last Page in the Yellow Pad

Some people
do a
lot of
preparation
for death.

They fork
out a
pile of
money for
a plot
of ground
to stick a
hand-picked
expensive
coffin in.

Or they
buy a
fancy expensive
urn for
their ashes.

Me,
I’ve got
three empty
Folger’s coffee
cans on
a high
shelf with
a note
Scotch-taped
to it,
written on
a sheet
of paper
ripped out
of a
yellow pad.
