This Is Not History

This is
not history.

This is
the flow
of time.

The rearrangement
of molecules.

The fragmentation
of dream.

This is
how pain
equates to
accomplishment,
how history
is made
but not
history.

This is
all that
is sacred,
beset by
intrusion.

Language is
an avalanche
of misnomers.

Love is
as close
as it
gets to
being
a word
that’s one
with something.

The more
things are
left untouched
the closer
we come
to being
part
of them.
