Running Out of People

I’m running
out of
people.

Places to
hang
my hat.

Routines,
memories.

Little dolls
with pins
in their
eyes to
take home
to mother.

But
mother’s
gone.

Father
too.

I forgive
myself for
not forgiving
them.

A lie.

I don’t
forgive myself
for anything

Oh,
someone
please
bring me
a platter
stacked high
with
happy days!
