we all die

We All Die

After my
aneurysm surgery,
where they
replaced
most of
my arteries
down thru
my gut
with plastic
tubes & mesh,
I knew that
we all die.

But now,
ten years
later,
sitting here
smoking a
cigarette,
I’m once
again
entertaining the
thought of
living forever.
