a child of gravity

A Child of Gravity

I’m not a
pogo stick.

I’m not a
high-dive
dandy in
skin-tight
trunks.

I’m not a
Pentecostal
convert with
his eyes
rolled back,
looking for
God inside
a snake.

I’m a
child of
gravity.

Gravity doesn’t
suck you
up it
slams you down.

You don’t
plummet when
you jump
off a
bridge the
ground
rushes up
to
meet you.

Gravity is
God’s glue.

Take this
as gospel
& go
out &
change
the world.
