Leave Them Kids Alone!
He just turned five, smart as a whip and full of himself, and two weeks in kindergarten.
Before the first week was out his teacher began keeping him in for recess, and during class he was put in “time out”, separating him from the other children. His teacher’s explanation was that he has too much energy. Just the thing to do with a kid with too much energy – make him sit still.
At the end of the second week, at a teacher/parent conference, it was suggested to his mother that he be put on medication to calm him down.
A big part of the drug problem in our schools is community-sanctioned and enthusiastically supported by the pharmaceutical industry.
