The Trouble with Feedback

The trouble
with feedback
is it
changes what
you have
to say.

Picture This

Robbin Williams &
Jonathan Winters
alone together
in a
snowed-in cabin
in the
Canadian wilderness
& a
frost-bitten
Jim Carey
peeking in
the window
from the
porch thru
binoculars.

Free of Its Moorings

My mind
is like
an ocean
liner that’s
drifted free
of its
moorings.

What Are They Thinking

They seem
to think
I have
time to
kill time
to play
table games
& take
day trips.

They seem
to think
I won’t
die
tomorrow or
next week
or ten
years
from now.

Sometimes those
closest
to you
your loved
ones your
sons &
daughters
sisters &
ex-wives
wage war
on
your heart.

It’s not
that they
wish you
harm it’s
that they
have no
idea who
you are.

opportunity knocks

Opportunity Knocks

The chance
of a
lifetime
came careening
around the
corner &
ran him
down in
the middle
of the
street.

telling it like it is

Telling It Like It Is

I’ve decided to
stand back
from the
truth &
tell things
like they
really are.
