Spruce up

yours.
I sense

black pit

that gleam

wishful thinking,

full-grown

brutalizing
livestock.

Each day
I make
a chain
of decisions
based on
uncontaminated
awareness.
This keeps
me from
getting
sucked up

But still
they chip
away
at me

bit closing
one avenue
of escape
after another
