mother knows best

Mother Knows Best

Your health
is everything
his mother
always
told him.

She was
Irish &
worked 12
hour days
in a
bakery by
the age of
14 &
died
from a
nasty one
two punch of
Alzheimer’s &
Parkinson’s.

Her parents
came to
America in
1910
looking
for a
better life.

Born a Poet

He was
born a
poet into
a household
of child
abuse wife
beating &
drunken rages.

He wound
up instead
making a
six digit
income
renting green
plastic portable
toilets to
construction
sites &
rock concerts
doing a
lot of
crack cocaine
& packing
a gun.
