showing up at the wailing wall

Showing Up at the Wailing Wall

Never
give up
the ghost
fly a
kite in a
lightning storm
stick a
note in a
bottle sail
off to
Never Land
dream the
dream of
salvation go
raving mad
on a
mountain top
scratch the
eyes from a
blind man
steal the
host from
the tabernacle
tap dance
for Gypsies
stall your
car in a
crosswalk
worship
false gods.

A kind
heart always
gets wounded.

But there’s
still hope.

Show up
around
midnight
at the
Wailing Wall.

Wait.
