identity check

Identity Check

He wrote
in the
first person
about a
third person
a second
person
had told
him about
& then
other third
persons thought
it was
them or
it wasn’t
him or
thought there
was no
third person
that the
second person
had made
him up
or the
second person
was the
third person.

When things
finally calmed
down everyone’s
feelings were
hurt but
no one’s
identity had
been revealed.

idiocy as a constitutional right

Idiocy as a Constitutional Right

The corporate
world has a
good time
of it
pitting one
chunk of
the population
against another
like packs of
drunk clowns.

Then someone
calls a
truce &
we all
go down
to Fred Meyer
to hunt
for bargains.

getting ready for the big bang

Getting Ready for the Big Bang

There’s an
old guy
who parks
his Lincoln
at the
top of
the hill
every day &
then walks
up & down
the hill
five or
six times.

After that he
sits in
the Lincoln &
stares out
the windshield.

I figure
he’s got
maybe a
year
to live.

Collaboration
is how we

how
incompatible
we are.

survival rate

Survival Rate

He was
told he
had cancer
had it
for 20
years &
because he
never went
to a
doctor &
found out
about it
that now
it was
too late to
save him.

Everyone else
who got
cancer at
the same
time he
did &
got treated
for it
had been
dead for
years.

we all die

We All Die

After my
aneurysm surgery,
where they
replaced
most of
my arteries
down thru
my gut
with plastic
tubes & mesh,
I knew that
we all die.

But now,
ten years
later,
sitting here
smoking a
cigarette,
I’m once
again
entertaining the
thought of
living forever.
