Overthrowing Your Creator

When robotic
computers finally
achieve sentience,
the first

A Woman I Loved

A woman
I loved
& who
was very
important
in my
life died
yesterday.

I still
ate supper
& watched
a DVD
but before
going to
bed I
sat on
the porch
in the
dark
& smoked
one cigarette
after another.

up the

the shade
trees by
the park
with no
stunning
vistas to
set my
mind ablaze
with
false hope.

differently
shaped mirrors,
he slipped
thru life
undetected.

of prolonged
silence should
eventually become
uneasy,
& if
they do,
it’s
usually
too late.
