The Never Ending Light

Once you
say everything
you have
to say
say
everything you
don’t have
to say
which is
to say
outer-region
stuff the
twilight zone
emaciated
ribs jutting
out saucepan
eyes you
have to
cook up a
new vocabulary
wall yourself
in follow
your feet
without looking
down leave
your change
in the
metal cup
at the
grocery store
shut down
communication with
past loves
& imaginary
loves with
the gang
you rode
shotgun for
with your
father confessor
you have
to cancel
engagements
renege on
commitments
renounce.

You’ll be
surprised how
quickly the
new words
come a
bouquet of
vowels
sprinkled with
stardust.

This is
all as
it should
be don’t
look back.

Drive into
the heart
of the
never-ending
light.
