relativity

Relativity

The young
barista was
two years old
when I
hooked up for
six years
sixteen years ago
with a
woman who was
then as
young as
the barista
is now.

“What?”
she said,
& then blushed,
catching the
look in my eye
when she
handed my
mocha thru the
drive-up window.

Nowhere in his
theories on
relativity
does Einstein
touch on
the tricks
time plays
in the
warped
space of
love &
loneliness.
