delirious

Delirious

Why do
people say
about someone
who’s delirious
that he
doesn’t know
what he’s
saying?

eyes shut, toes curled

Eyes Shut, Toes Curled

I have
more than
a little
dislike for
the mark
of the
Beast that’s
in evidence
everywhere.

But there’s
not
much I
can do
about it
except sing
at the
top of
my lungs
with my
eyes shut
my head
thrown back
& my
toes curled.

who is obama?

Who Is Obama?

Obama is
no JFK.

Obama is
a man
with a
license
to kill who
promised us
the moon.

what they come for next

What They Come for Next

He lost
everything &
wound up
in prison.

You’ve still
got your
immortal soul
a guard
told him.
So get ready.
That’s what
they’re coming
for next.

a sad way to end things

A Sad Way to End Things

Lying on
your death
bed with a
head full
of grudges.

showing up at the wailing wall

Showing Up at the Wailing Wall

Never
give up
the ghost
fly a
kite in a
lightning storm
stick a
note in a
bottle sail
off to
Never Land
dream the
dream of
salvation go
raving mad
on a
mountain top
scratch the
eyes from a
blind man
steal the
host from
the tabernacle
tap dance
for Gypsies
stall your
car in a
crosswalk
worship
false gods.

A kind
heart always
gets wounded.

But there’s
still hope.

Show up
around
midnight
at the
Wailing Wall.

Wait.
